About Us

TRIbor was the name given to a group of individuals who had developed a passion for triathlon.  The name came about as one spouse exclaimed what a "tri bore" the other half had become as she endured yet another detailed account of a recent triathlon event!  That other half has had the last laugh as, despite many protestations that you would "never find me doing something like that" she has become a fully fledged member of the TRIbor gang.

TRIbor started with Mark Field, Tim Irish, Daz Rogers and Piers Simon.  Piers' tragic death in the Boxing Day Tsunami gave certain TRIbor members a reason for doing some major fund-raising in 2006 when Mark and Tim successfully completed the Sherborne Ironman and between them raised a total of £5,000, half going to the Piers Simon Appeal and half to Rotary Club for all the charities they support.

Why Orange?
Because when you are out on the road everyone notices you!
Is this a Good Thing?
For supporters it definitely is as they can see you a mile off, as can other road users, for those dressed in orange, that depends on your level of bravery!
